Dr. Marty Cole is most passionate about providing medical care to anyone regardless of race, religion, gender, education or economic status—extending his healing hands and heart to all in need. He has practiced medicine for over 28 years, providing family medicine in inpatient and outpatient settings, including 7 years as an emergency room physician in New Castle, PA and 11 years as a Locum doctor, filling temporary posts as needed. Throughout his career, he has also worked in veterans’ hospitals, county jails, state prisons and juvenile clinics, and has provided primary care in recovery settings as well as in geriatric care facilities.
Dr. Marty grew up in Tennessee, in a poor household--one of seven children raised by a single mom. He attended the pre-med program at Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama; after receiving the program’s highest award he went on to East Tennessee State University Medical School, did his first-year residency in Philadelphia and then a second-year residency in Beaver. He was the first African American to graduate from the program in 15 years at that time. He has remained in Pennsylvania since graduation. He has always been interested in community medical education and public health issues.
As a provider with The Integrative Wellness Community he now also has the opportunity to provide more natural solutions for those who may prefer alternatives to prescription drugs in the treatment of many existing conditions. Originally, in 2021, he started his own practice at 273 E Crawford Ave in Connellsville to provide a “pay cash per visit” opportunity for patients. It is not affiliated with any hospital system, it is not a clinic, and no procedures are performed. It is a doctor visit for basic exams and services, where tests can be ordered or prescriptions written if needed.
In many cases, setting up an appointment for a basic exam can take time, and can even be quite costly. Dr. Marty sees “walk-ins” on Tuesday and Thursdays, and you are guaranteed an exam by the doctor and no other health care professional on the doctor’s staff.
Getting started with Dr. Marty:
1. Call The Integrative Wellness Community at (724) 466-4100 to schedule an appointment. (Appointments are preferred)
2. Dr. Marty will contact you to assess your particular needs and advise you of what to bring to the first appointment.

Deb has been practicing Christian spiritual direction for 17 years. She is a 2007 graduate of Spiritual Direction Institute-The Open Door, in Charlottesville, VA.
Many people may not be familiar at all with the idea of spiritual direction; however, it is easier to understand if one already finds they are connected to God (Creator or Higher Power) and wishes to more fully develop that connection or relationship. This seems to become more and more important as we age. Holistically, if one looks to improve or enhance overall wellness, a healthy connection with the Divine truly is integral in linking Body-Mind-Soul(Spirit). A spiritual director assists in setting spiritual goals and serves as a companion on one’s faith journey. It is a totally different experience from counseling.
Deb has studied graduate Theology and Pastoral Ministry at St. Mary’s Seminary and University in Baltimore, MD and St. Mary’s University in Winona, MN. She has 30 years’ experience as a professional religious educator/pastoral minister in various Roman Catholic parishes throughout western Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and North Carolina. She has designed and led retreat experiences and workshops, facilitating and addressing large and small groups on a variety of religious and secular topics.
She is a practicing Roman Catholic and is a professed member of the Secular Franciscan Order, serving as Master of Formation in her local fraternity. Deb is also a member of SDI, Spiritual Directors International.
Deb first became interested in The Integrative Wellness Community through Dr. Jane’s introduction of phototherapy patches and biophoton therapy to assist in her personal wellness goals. Along with a change in diet/nutrition, Deb found vast improvement in her preexisting health conditions. She feels it is quite a blessing to be able to offer her own gifts professionally as a spiritual director in such a meaningful capacity at TIWC, and to assist others as well.
Getting started with Deb:
1. Call The Integrative Wellness Community at (724) 466-4100 to schedule an appointment.
2. Deb will call you to set up an initial appointment and ask some preliminary questions. If you would like more time to think about your answers, Deb will send you a form to complete instead, via email, text or snail mail.
